Happy Birthday Karina- oh ya and Happy 4th of July

As tradition goes we all went canoeing at Sparks Lake. I have to say, this is one of my favorite traditions! I love, love, love canoeing! I was not all that great with my camera....I didn't even get on picture of anyone unless Trenton was in the frame. Next year I vow to be better! Here are a few pictures of Trenton and his Granny and Papa!

I have a small following of people who love to hear of Trenton's view on the world. For the most part I think his naive three year old view is inspiring (for a lack of a better word).

3/21/11:

I told Trenton that we were having friends over for dinner. He asked who, so I told him the list of people. His whole face light up, he threw his hands in the air and did a big circle all while saying "Those are my most favorite people in the whole unicorn!" I laughed and said "Did you mean universe?". Trenton looked at me and said , "No...I meant unicorn!"

10/11/10:

Today as we were leaving the grocery store (we had to get butter to makes cookies, because making cookies together is the best way to make a hard day better!)..anyways back to leaving the grocery store. As we were leaving we were walking through the parking lot, hand in hand, and he looks up at the dusky sky and says "Mommy!" I of course was wondering what cool car he was going to point out and replied "Yes Trenton?!" He then goes on to say "Mommy, it's the moon. It's the kind of moon where the man can sit in it!" I had to look up and process what he was telling me. As I looked into the sky I realized he was describing the crescent moon. :) It made me smile. It was not simply a crescent moon, but a moon the man could sit in.
